Service Description

Rebound Essentials is a compact one-day course designed to equip staff with the core knowledge and practical skills needed to deliver safe, purposeful trampoline sessions. It’s ideal for teams who are new to rebound therapy, setting up a new service, or looking to refresh their skills and confidence. The day focuses on the key principles that underpin effective and inclusive rebound practice. Covering safety, posture, communication, and graded movement techniques. Participants will learn how to prepare the trampoline environment, position and support individuals safely, and adapt sessions to meet a wide range of physical and learning needs. Practical, hands-on learning forms the heart of the day, allowing participants to build both competence and confidence in real-world application. By the end of the course, learners will be able to: • Safely set up and manage a rebound therapy environment. • Apply essential handling, positioning, and facilitation skills. • Understand how to tailor sessions to individual ability and purpose. • Recognise contraindications and manage risk appropriately. • Deliver enjoyable, effective, and evidence-based rebound sessions. Rebound Essentials provides a strong foundation for anyone working with individuals who have complex physical or learning needs, and serves as an ideal first step before progressing to therapy or education focused courses.
